Recenze Hotel The George Edinburgh****

09.02.2012 Prima hotel met vriendelijk personeel. Daarnaast is locatie ideaal voor een stedentrip door Edinburgh.

02.10.2010 Het hotel is zeer gunstig gelegen t.o.v het centrum en bezienswaardigheden. Ontbijt is zeer netjes verzorgd, ruim aanbod en chique ontbijtzaal en zeer vriendelijk personeel. Kamer is wat klein net als badkamer en bed, maar wel verzorgd en van alle gemakken voorzien. Concierge is zeer vriendelijk en altijd behulpzaam (ook voor route bezienswaardigheden). Volgende keer boeken wij hier een grotere kamer.

25.06.2009 Don't stay at this hotel if you need to have a quiet surrounding to get off to sleep. Despite asking for a quiet room when we booked we had a room at the front overlooking the street, which in thoery should have been lovely but we were still awake at 4.20 am listening to the revellers from the wine bars across the road. You really would have thought that a 4* hotel could afford to glaze their windows appropriately, we've had quieter times at Travel Lodges!!!! This really did spoil our weekend and even the fact that our room was postage stamp small would have been absolutely fine if we'd had the rest and relaxation we were looking forawrd to!
On the plus side the hotel was lovely and clean and the breakfast delicious.

25.06.2009 The hotel was nicely decorated and clean so, there are no worries there. The Tempus is a good bar to have a few drinks. The location was great as George Street has a good night life. My hotel room was very small but, I did not spend much time there. All-in-all not bad.

29.04.2006 Maart 2004. Verbleven in eerste instantie in Taylors Hall maar dat hotel had geen boeking ontvangen (fout van reisorganisatie). Vervolgens door de plaatselijke agent overgeboekt naar het George. Is een zeer chique en statig hotel. Midden in het nieuwe centrum. Zeer goed Schots ontbijt in het restaurant (lijkt op een paleiszaal). Kamers zeer ruim en luxe. Door het chique publiek een beetje stijfjes. Voor wie graag in een klasse hotel verblijft is dit een aanrader.
