I have to say that this is going to be the most complicate review I’ve ever made. For the simple fact that even the best photographer would not be able to describe with a simple picture, all the emotions that a wonderful sunset in a magical place can give. Therefore it will be impossible for me to explain what these 7 days did to my soul, but I will do my best.
Diacceroni people are fantastic. Although they are all really busy from the earliest time in the morning to the latest in the evening, they are extremely friendly, always ready to help and to exchange some welcoming and friendly (sorry for repetition) words. They all try to ensure that all wishes and requests are satisfied. I was really impressed by this because they have an enormous amount of work to do, but they do not show tiredness. The reason why this is all so natural, is because everything is done with Heart. It is possible to taste the love that they put in their work, in their farmhouse and in their products/harvesting. Every single member of the farmhouse seems to be in perfect synchrony with each other, although the workload, and the result of this is just a well-organized place that enhances the perfect harmony that the land already gives.
The food is insanely great. Just the smell of their products (from their jam to the honey, or from the pasta to the sauces, not to mention wine and liquors) gives an immediate feeling of this self-made world that people have forgotten. Every product there is genuine and the cooks can just take the best out of them. I’ve not eaten in their restaurant, unfortunately (but I will do it next year, as we definitely come back). However, the last evening we talked to some people who told us that they were VERY sad to have tried their restaurant in the last evening, because if they tried it at the beginning of their stay, they would have eaten there every day. However, although we did not go to their restaurant, they made the welcoming party, the pizza party, and the pasta party, in which was possible to taste their products and to savour their awesome cooking. It would be pointless to try to explain how great was their food. I’m Italian and I usually eat great food all the time, but their plates leave a permanent memory in the tongue. I will just spend few words on their liquor. They make Limoncello. I love that liquor and I really drink it at every occasion I can. The Limoncello they make is just the most unique one I’ve ever tried. It seems a weak point, but their lemons are just genuine. No chemicals, no treatment. This gives to it its unique taste of perfection, which is the main theme in Diacceroni: perfection.
The place and the view is breath-taking. Actually at any time of the day. But in the evening, the place turns magic. It is possible to walk outside of the farmhouse and enjoy kilometres and kilometres of vast untouched land and sunsets are stunning.
How not to mention the horse riding. Just this would need a review on its own. Julie and her team are sharing with all their great love for horses and horse riding. They will be able to teach a piece of wood (like me) to decently ride horses and enjoy great trips for a very reasonable price. Their friendliness and competence is beyond compare. Oh well, very long review. Did I catch your interest? Yeah because since we are talking about price, I can promise you: you will never find a farmhouse as good as this one for the same or cheaper price. Or let’s put it in this way: you will not find a better farmhouse.
We left in Diacceroni a piece of our heart and it was painful to leave.
The only problem with Diacceroni, is that it is all WAY too beautiful to be there one week only. We were there one week only and we have been so sorry about this decision. To get a good taste of Diacceroni, we just had to stay there at least 2 weeks, because otherwise it is like to have a great plate of pasta in the front of the nose and ju
